These classes are for children in reception and key stage one at school. The three classes do exactly what they say in their titles. Children are welcome to participate in as many of these as they wish. Roade Ensemble.
This group continues this year available to anyone who plays an instrument, including guitars and recorders. Some experience is necessary to play in this group. Please talk to a member of staff for more details.

These are available to anyone in year three and above. We will run groups according to demand and ability from beginner to diploma!? (ok, make that very good!)
Theory Classes.
Bring your own book (available at centre) and work at your own pace, with expert help available when you need it. Centre Stage
Centre stage is available throughout the morning, and covers speech, drama, creative movement, dance and musical theatre. Activities include improvisation, role-play, scripted work and mime. Classes are broken down into three areas; Drama skills provide students with core drama skills and the opportunity to develop them. Musical theatre combines song, dance and spoken dialogue. Creative and Dance Drama explores dance and mime. The dancing is “dance drama”, and not formal ballet. Due to the nature in which the classes are run, i.e. in a flexible manner to allow students to develop their own ideas, students also learn important social skills such as communication and building self confidence.
Creative Music
This group is aimed at junior school children years 3-6 at school, especially those who do not play an instrument such as the violin etc. This group involves activities such as rhythm games and boomwhackers. |
