Centre Friends Association
The Centre Friends Association exists to support the work of the centre by providing help and assistance at concerts and other events that take place during the school year.
All parents are automatically members of the Friends when their child enrols at the centre.
The friends run the weekly tuck shop. Without volunteers this simply would not function. Ask the children what is the best thing about centre, and most say Tuck. We are always very grateful to anyone who helps us with this venture.
It is hoped that everyone will help out with the tuckshop at least once during the year. Indeed, if everyone did this- it would only need one offer of help per year for it to run really successfully.
They also help out at concerts by selling tickets, providing refreshments, or sorting raffle prizes, to give a few simple examples.
To anyone who attends the infrequent meetings that we have they are also an invaluable source of ideas for future events, or new classes at the centre.
Anyone who attends a meeting does of course get the chance to have their say, which may or may not influence goings on at the centre. Refreshments are also provided!
